Building Pride In Our Community

The motto of the Home Builders Association of Saginaw is "Building Pride in Our Community". The following photos show several of the community projects and charities supported through monetary donations as well as donations of time and materials.


Habitat Build 2000, 2001, 2003 & 2005

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw built a Habitat for Humanity home during the 200 Blitz in June and three homes during a "Three Day Build" in November of 2001 and 2003 and October 2005. Between them the association contributed $165,000 in cash, labor and materials.


Car Seat Project

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw has co-sponsored the cost of new car seats for four Car Seat Inspections. The car seats were given to families that did not have a safe car seat for their children.



City Rescue Mission

Family Empowerment Center
The Home Builders Association of Saginaw furnished a room in the Family Empowerment Center of the City Rescue Mission. This center provides shelter for homeless women and children.


Children's Zoo at Celebration Square

Donated $2000 from 2003 HBAS Auction
The Home Builders Association of Saginaw built and donated the ticket booth for the Saginaw Children's Zoo Celebration Square Carousel.


Playhouse Project

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw members built and donated four playhouses for a sweepstakes drawing. Proceeds of over $3,700 was raised to benefit Easter Seals & Saginaw Valley Regional 4C.



PlayScape of Saginaw Township

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw members volunteered their time and skill to help build the PlayScape in Saginaw Township.

The Home Builders Association of Saginaw members donated or volunteered their time for the following:
• Local High School Career Fairs
• Boys and Girls Club of Saginaw County
Delta College Scholarship (downloadable PDF)
• Child Abuse & Neglect (CAN) Council

• 30 Handmade blankets to Family Independence Agency of Saginaw County
