Women's Council


The Women's Council of the Home Builders Association of Saginaw was chartered on September 8, 2001 by the Women's Council of the National Association of Home Builders. The council is dedicated to supporting the professional development of members of the home building industry.

The Women's Council provides education opportunities for its members and students within our community. The Women's Council makes presentations in classrooms and provides education materials and tree seedlings for students. The presentations describe the process of home building and the career opportunities within the home building industry.

Women's Council fundraisers and projects have supported the following:

•     Children's Zoo at Celebration Square
•     Hidden Harvest/East Side Soup Kitchen
•     Habitat for Humanity
•     Friends of Theodore Roethke Foundation
•     Red Cross Local Disaster Relief
•     Boys and Girls Club of Saginaw County
•     Underground Railroad
•     Child Abuse & Neglect Council
•     City Rescue Mission Family Empowerment Center
•     Mid-Michigan Children's Museum

The Women's Council earned the following outstanding service awards based on councils our size from the National Association of Home Builders:
